Frantoi Cutrera’s most-awarded extra virgin olive oil. Primo D.O.P. is a monocultivar of the Tonda Iblea olive, local to the Chiaramonte Gulfi region in Sicily. Most importantly, all stages of oil production are carried out in minute detail by the Cutrera family. The harvest is done by hand so that the delicate fruit is not damaged before being pressed at the family’s mill within six hours of being picked.  Primo D.O.P. is a beautifully complex olive oil with fruity aromas and well-balanced bitter and spicy flavors. Pronounced notes of green tomato, aromatic fresh herbs, and artichoke.  A medium-intensity monocultivar oil from Tonda Iblea olives.

Suggested uses: Drizzle on tomato bruschetta and fresh vegetables. Delicious over roasted meats and grilled fish.
